Service Styles
The type of service you choose depends on your personal preference and budget.
Each style offers a different level of service and formality to your guests.
Options range from casual hors d’oeuvres to a classic sit-down meal,
and are suitable for everything from a simple reception to an elegant dinner.
Tray Passed - Our service staff walks among your guests passing trays of bite sized appetizers. This is a perfect way to welcome your guests to a dinner, to begin a reception or for cocktail events.
Stationary - Stationary appetizer tables are set up in a central area, allowing guests to nibble at their leisure. They work in combination with passed hors d’oeuvres for a more varied service. Stationary appetizer tables can replace passed hors d’oeuvres to minimize costs.
Tapas Plates - This unusual style adds a touch of excitement and interest. We offer your guests a variety of single portions of fun fare passed on small plates. This makes it easy for them to walk around, mix and mingle. Since a small tapas plate sits neatly on top of a glass, this style can be easily combined with cocktails.
Buffet - A buffet allows your guests to choose their favorite foods from a bountiful array of dishes. This simple style can be casual or elegant. It requires a smaller number of staff and offers the most affordable level of service.
Family Style - Waiters bring platters of food to the tables, one course at a time, for your guests to share. This casual style is perfect for long, slow dining with lots of conversation. It also makes it easy to pair wines with each course. However, this style does incur higher rental costs.
Sit Down - This classic, elegant style is a favorite for formal events and wedding receptions. It has the highest ratio of service staff to guests, ensuring personal attentive service and leaving your guests free to enjoy each other’s company.
Stations - In this versatile, fun style of dining, we set up multiple buffet stations throughout the venue, creating movement and energy in the group. Each station features a different selection of dishes so that your guests enjoy a variety of flavors and styles of food.
Family Style/Sit-Down - In another nice balance of casual and formal, we start with a family style salad course, followed by a plated entrée.
