Chef Karen Smith-Warner, Founder & Owner

Karen is a self-taught chef who has taken classes in Florence, Italy, Santorini, Greece, The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, and  San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. You benefit from Karen's mastery of organizational details in creating an elegant event while keeping things simple. Your event will reflect her love of beauty, sense of style, and her intuitive understanding of people that enables her to visualize exactly what her clients want.

Melissa Martin Scott, Sous Chef

Melissa started working for Savoir Faire the summer before she finished culinary school and immediately recognized a kindred spirit in Karen. Karen's fresh menus and simple flavors reminded her exactly of the food she fell in love with during her travels in Europe. With seven wedding seasons now under her belt, Melissa has graduated from prep cook to sous chef. The collaborative and creative environment at Savoir Faire has helped her expand her expertise into breads and pastries. 

Susie Criley

Susie has been catering in Santa Barbara for nearly two decades and has been a part of the Savoir Faire team for just about 15 of those years. Not only is Susie responsible for hand picking our stellar wait staff and is our bar manager extraordinaire, but she will also step into any role that needs filling - from expo to prep cook. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our team. She takes care of everything so the chefs can focus on making you delicious food.
